About

Three founders in Tucson, building software with small shops.

Simple Industry is custom, AI-native software for small manufacturing shops. Three University of Arizona students started it in Tucson, Arizona in May 2026, and we build it with each shop that uses it.

Who we are

There are three of us. Axel grew up in his father’s machine shop and studies chemical engineering. Atharv is a developer and builds the backend. Angel studies aerospace engineering, builds the interface, and speaks Spanish.

We are a new company and a small one. There is no sales team and no support queue. The people you meet at your shop are the people who write the software.

We set it up with you, at your shop

We meet you. In person or online. You walk us through the floor and what is going wrong on it.

We set it up for your shop. You get the modules your shop needs and none of the others. Your parts, BOMs, inventory and sales come in from the spreadsheets you already have.

We stay on it with you. The app has a button that sends a message to us, with the page you were on attached. We read it ourselves, and what you ask for gets built.

One system, a different set of modules per shop

A laser job shop and a machine shop that ships with certs do different work, so they run different modules. These are built today:

  • Orders, quotes, sales and a list of what to build for the shelf.
  • Jobs, production, routing and a timeclock.
  • Parts, BOMs, inventory, material lots and labels.
  • Purchasing and suppliers.
  • Quality records and audit paperwork.

The shop floor runs on a phone. If your shop does something that is not on the list, we design and build that module with you.

Who it is for, and who it is not for

It is for a small manufacturing shop that runs on spreadsheets, a whiteboard and what people remember, and wants software that fits how the shop already works.

It is the wrong choice if you want to buy something off the shelf and never talk to the people who make it. It is also the wrong place for export-controlled technical data. The software holds the paper trail for a job (material lots, operators, certs). It does not hold ITAR prints, DXFs or models.

Who you would be talking to

Tell us where to find you and what is going wrong. We will set up a time to meet, in person or online.
