For aerospace shops

Traceability for small aerospace shops

When a customer asks which heat went into a part and who signed it off, the answer is a lookup. The software keeps the records for each job, and they are the kind an AS9100 audit asks for.

The record behind each part

Material lots. You receive a lot with its vendor and heat number, and with the PO and spec if you have them. The mill test report is uploaded onto the lot.

The job. A job points at the lot it ran on, so the heat number carries onto the job. From the lot you can see which jobs used it. Apply a routing and the operations copy onto the job, and each one is signed with a name and a time.

The job packet. The jobs list counts how many of a job’s checks have evidence on file, and the packet page lists every check. A missing check does not stop you shipping. It shows you what is missing before the job leaves.

Certificate of conformance. A certificate is issued from the job. The customer, customer PO, print revision, quantity made, heat number and supplier come from the job and its lot, so nobody types them twice. There is one standard layout.

Nonconformance and scrap. A nonconformance record takes what went wrong, the decision (use as is, rework, repair or scrap) and the number of parts scrapped. The page shows the year’s scrap rate against a goal you set. Inspections record pass or fail, not measurements.

What we hold and what we do not

The software holds the paper trail for a job (heat numbers, vendors, certificates). It is not a place for controlled drawings, CAD files or models, so do not upload them. We claim no ITAR or CMMC certification. Ask us about your case before you start. The assistant is off by default and the owner turns it on or off. On a shop in ITAR mode, the only fields of your records that reach the model are business fields: no technical field, file or image. What a person types to the assistant is sent as typed, so do not type controlled technical data into it.

Who it is for

A small shop that ships parts with certs and has to answer for the material in them. It suits a shop that keeps these records in folders and a spreadsheet today.

Who it is not for

It is the wrong choice if you need a system that holds controlled technical data. It issues one standard certificate layout, and it records inspections as pass or fail. If you need measurements recorded, it does not do that today.

We set it up with you

We meet you. In person or online. You show us how a job gets paperwork today.

We set it up with you. You get the modules your shop needs. Your parts and inventory load from the spreadsheets you already have.

We keep building with you. What you ask for gets built.

Tell us what your shop ships and what an audit asks you for. We will set up a time to meet.
